Our friends from the St. George Senior Center will join us July 13 at 10:30 a.m. to play “Name That Tune.” Teams will compete to see how many TV theme songs they can guess by listening to only snippets of the music. A volunteer thank you brunch will be held July 17 to let our volunteers know how much we appreciate their generous donation of their time and talents. Dorchester Seniors, Inc., is looking for volunteers to instruct classes in art, such as basic drawing and/or introduction to acrylic painting, an instructor in chorus/singing to work with the seniors in forming a small singing group and an instructor for basic dance lessons like the rumba or waltz. A variety of exercise classes and arts and crafts activities are among the other events that will be held at the senior center. For more information and a full schedule of activities, contact Debbi Covell at 871-5053. The center is located at 312 N. Laurel St., Summerville. Membership is free for Dorchester County residents and $12 per year for out of county residents.
