 “Princeton Pastries,” by Meg Skow

Anyone walking around in Summerville Town Hall may have noticed a number of interesting and unusual framed photographs gracing the walls on all three floors.
It’s all part of a special art photography show presented in Town Hall by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Greater Summerville.
This is the third juried fine art photography show presented in Town Hall by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Greater Summerville, member Meg Skow said. For this show, adjudicators chose thirty photographs. The photos exhibited include a wide variety of images and photographic processes. Subjects include landscapes, architectural details, and portraits created through film and digital photographic processes.
This year’s winners are first place, “Palm” by Richard J. Lightfoot; second place, “Princeton Pastries,” by Meg Skow; and third place, “Paris from my Room,” by Maryjane Islan.
The top three winners received Summerville D.R.E.A.M. gift certificates, which were presented at a special ceremony held 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Summerville Town Hall.
The mission of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Greater Summerville is to help coordinate and promote all the cultural arts in the Summerville area. The Alliance has opportunities for artists to showcase their work throughout the year. For more information call 871-7824 or go to the alliance’s Facebook page.
