Senator Mike Rose was recently acknowledged by South Carolina’s Business & Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC) as having ‘exceeded business and industry expectations’ in the 2011 legislative session.

“I pushed hard this past session for pro-business legislation and am happy to receive this acknowledgement from the South Carolina BIPEC for this work. We need to continue our focus on creating an economic climate in South Carolina that is free from government interference and fosters competition. By doing this, we will attract businesses to the state and fix our unemployment problem,” Senator Rose said.

Senator Rose received a score of 89.44, twelve points higher than the District Score of 77. By receiving a score higher than the District Score, BIPEC believes Senator Rose’s work has directly resulted in increasing the standard of living for South Carolinians and creating jobs in the state.

SC BIPEC scores the legislators on their votes on bills that are important to businesses and industries in South Carolina. The bills selected have a direct influence on economic development and job creation in the state.

Mike Rose serves as the Republican Senator from District 38, representing parts of Dorchester and Charleston Counties.
