The Village at Summerville is celebrating the start of spring with an Arts & Spring Open House, from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 21.  Visual and textile arts will be on display as well as music, food, and activities for children.

It is a family-friendly event and there is no admission charge.

Some of the performers scheduled to appear are: The Plantation Singers, Gospel Singer Kim Lee, Charleston Southern University Concert Singers, The Charleston Barbershop Chorus, The Wallingford Presbyterian Church Gospel Choir, music students from Rollings School of the Arts and Pinewood Preparatory School and "Crazy for Christ" from Summerville Presbyterian Church.

The event will also feature Sweetgrass Basket maker Sharon Perkins, Quilt Designer and Storyteller Peggie Hartwell, Stained Glass Designer Lewis Bazzano, Awarding-winning Artist Adurline Chellis and many more artists who are residents of The Village.

Organizers are hoping to make this an annual event.
