Fashion show to benefit local non-profits
HELP of Summerville and Second Chance Shot are collaborating for their annual 1st & 2nd Chance Fashions and Luncheon to be held 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Oct. 13 at Summerville Presbyterian Church. Included will be a silent auction featuring a weekend getaway at Kiawah Island. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from Maggie Rose, Second Chance Shop or from board members of the organizations. All proceeds will benefit Second Chance Shop and HELP of Summerville

Girl Scout Troop 53 to Host Flapjack Fundraiser

The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to partner with Girl Scout Troop 53 to host a Flapjack Fundraiser on Saturday, September 22, 2012. All proceeds raised will go towards Troop 53.

“Troop 53 is a recently formed group in need of money to support various activities for its members, especially for trips and awards,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. “Please help kick off this organization by joining us at Old Trolley Road on September 22nd.”  

The Troop 53 fundraiser will be hosted by the Applebee’s restaurant located at 88 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, SC,starting at 8 a.m. Tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser are $6 and can be purchased by contacting Cheryl Stansbury at (843) 209-9541. Breakfast includes a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.

Faith Baptist Church

Faith Baptist Church at 139 Faith Lane, off Embassy Drive, in the Knightsville area of Summerville, will be holding a Revival Sept. 23-28 at 7 p.m. Pastor, evangelist, and missionary Wayne Reeves is back from a mission trip to Africa where 1,120 accepted Christ. Come hear eyewitness messages from the mission trip and see visuals on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at 11:00 a.m. will be homecoming with speaker Dr. Joe Youngblood.
