Yasmine Smalls

Four people are behind bars after police arrested them for shooting guns at several houses in Summerville. Yasmine Smalls, 18, of Pineville, K-Ron Washington, 18, of Pineville, James Williams, 23, of Ladson, and Ashley Williams,20, of Summerville all face charges of discharging a firearm into a dwelling, according to Capt. Jon Rogers of the Summerville Police Department. Rogers said officers responded to a call at around 11 a.m. Thursday in reference to several people in a vehicle shooting firearms toward residences in the Magwood Drive/Langley Drive area near Bacons Bridge Road. An officer saw the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Trolley Road and Crestview Drive and got out to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle when one of them ran from the vehicle. After a brief foot chase, that subject was caught and arrested, Rogers said. All four are being housed in the Dorchester County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings, Rogers said. The investigation continues.
