SPD seeking suspect in pharmacy robberies

  • Monday, November 5, 2012

Police are searching for this individual in connection with the armed robberies of three area pharmacies.

The Summerville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in at least three armed robberies, two of which occurred about three hours apart. According to SPD Capt. Jon Rogers, officers responded to the CVS at 301 North Main Street in Summerville at about 5 p.m. Nov. 4 in reference to an armed robbery. The suspect, described as a white male, presented a black handgun to the pharmacist and demanded narcotics. Less than four hours later, at about 8:20 pm, the same suspect went to the Walgreens at 1120 North Main Street, presented a black handgun to the pharmacist and demanded narcotics, Rogers said. The suspect has also been linked to the March 23, 2012 armed robbery of a Rite Aid located at 602 Bacons Bridge Road, where again he presented a black handgun to the pharmacist and demanded narcotics. No one was injured during any of the three robberies, Rogers said. If anyone can identify the suspect or has any information at all about the robberies, please call the Summerville Police Department at 851-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
