George Robert Allen, age 83 of Summerville, died November 11, 2012 at St. Frances Hospital.
George was a beloved husband and father. He was born May 10, 1929 in Paoli, IN to Charles J. and Blanche Gillum Allen.  George retired from The US Air Force and State Port Authority. He was a Member of the Elks Lodge, a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Summerville, and loved Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Survivors include his wife; Elizabeth Orlando Allen, step daughters; Carolyn Barker (Ellis), Diana Ubilla, sister; Grace Wolfington, grandchildren; Kerry Creel and Kristin Barker, and five great grandchildren; Alyson and Joshua Bryant, Tristin and Keara Hagerman, and Madison Creel, and several nieces and nephews.
George was pre deceased by his parents, his first wife; Mildred Allen, brothers; Charles L Allen, John Allen, and Walter Allen and sister; Mae F. Condra.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 15, 2012 from six o’clock pm till eight o’clock pm at Carolina Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at one o’clock pm at Carolina Memorial Park Funeral Home. Internet will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions made be made in Georges name to Leukemia Society 300 West Coleman Boulevard Suite 206 Mount Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
