Lorraine Manning Jones, 88, of Summerville, widow of Robert Chalmond Jones, Jr., died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Summerville Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 7 o’clock pm at The Bridge Assisted Living, 2590 Elms Plantation Blvd., North Charleston. Burial will be held a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Jones was born March 12, 1923 in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter of the late Leslie and Gladys Stollenwerk Manning. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken.
Surviving are: one daughter and one son: Karole Lynne Confer and her husband Terry of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert C. Jones, III and his wife Jacquie of Summerville, four grandchildren: Carrie Jones Maas of Summerville, Robert C. Jones, IV and his wife Vikki of Summerville, Kelly Govrik and her husband Greg of Maple Plain, Minnesota and Hallie Frandrup and her husband Jason of Mesa, Arizona, eleven grandchildren: Justin, Sydney, Nicholas, Hannah, Jaxon, Katelyn, Robert V, Andrew, Lauren, Justin and Bryan.
