Paul Kushubar, 86, of Summerville, husband of Marie Krucke Kushubar, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 1 o’clock at St. George’s Episcopal Church, Summerville.  Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Summerville.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 6 until 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the St. George’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, 9110 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.

Mr. Kushubar was born on April 14, 1923 in Stamford, CT to the late John and Mary Postarak Kushubar.  He graduated high school from Stamford High School in Stamford, CT.  He attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA and graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  He served in the United States Army.  He was a combat medic in WWII and received the Bronze Star.  He retired as a product manager with RM Engineered Products in North Carolina.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: 4 Sons:  Paul Kushubar of Summerville, William Kushubar of Harrisburg, PA, James Kushubar of Manheim, PA, and David Kushubar of Campobello, SC; 1 Neice:  Barbara Kushubar; 7 Grandchildren:  Paul Kushubar and Hillary Kushubar of Summerville, SC, Kristen Kushubar, William Kushubar, and Kyle Kushubar of Harrisburg, PA, Zoe Kushubar and Zachary Kushubar of Campobello, SC; 2 Great Grandchildren:  Asia Kushubar and Zasha Kushubar of Summerville, SC.
