Jeannie Smith Nuzum, 71, wife of the late MCPO Donald Lester Nuzum USN (Retired) of North Charleston, South Carolina, died on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Family and friends will be received at the family home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012, following a private burial. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Location.
Jeannie was born on November 13, 1941 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late Dee Smith and Zara Allie Hanna Smith. She was a loving mother, Accountant, and Real Estate Broker. Jeannie enjoyed art and photography, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Roberts and her husband, Patrick of Camden, SC; sons, Stan Nuzum and his wife, Lisa of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Donald Lee Nuzum, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Sophia, Noah, and Nathaniel Roberts, Rachael and Erich Nuzum, Michael and Catherine Nuzum. Jeannie is also survived by her brother, John Smith and his wife, Connie of Chicago, IL; and her sisters, Agnes Winston and Sherry Cassell, both of West Virginia. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Hope Lodge, c/o The American Cancer Society, 269 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
