She was the widow of Mr. Jacob Eddie Fisk. Joan Marie Stanley, born in 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri and a thirty-five year Summerville resident and volunteer, passed away on August 26, 2010. In 1979 she helped organize the first annual Flowertown Festival to raise money for the YWCO, now Summerville’s YMCA. Her later passions focused on fund-raising events for the Coastal Center.
