Mildred C. Lambert




Mildred C. Lambert, 86, wife of the late Luther L. Lambert Sr., died Monday, May 5, 2008.


    Funeral Services were held Wednesday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Officiating were the Rev. Chris Browder and the Rev. Gene Lisenby. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Luther L. Lambert Cemetery.


    Mrs. Lambert was born March 18, 1922 in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Daniel Ralston Cooper and the late Iceleen Bednego Cooper.


    Mrs. Lambert was a retired Quality Control Manager with the former Oneita Knitting Mills and later worked with Creative Apparel of Andrews. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was an Adult Sunday School Teacher for more than 50 years, a Past President of Women’s Ministry, a Missions Minister, a Past Music Director, and Treasurer.  Part of her ministry was her Sentence Ministry Sermons on Sunday nights.    


Surviving are two sons, Dennis E. Lambert and his wife Kay of Jamestown, and Larry L. Lambert Jr. and his wife Connie of Andrews; one daughter, Della Anne Lambert Jones of Moncks Corner; nine grandchildren, Dennis Lambert, Jr., Rhonda Caddell, Cass Manley, Kay Lambert, Michelle McKenzie, Luther L. Lambert, III, Jeremy Jones, Rebecca Jones and Allison Jones; 12 great-grandchildren; and other family.
