The Dreamer and the Dream

Few speeches in history resonate louder than Martin Luther King's 'I Have a Dream.' Every MLK Day celebration, those words are reiterated but never with more conviction as they were on Monday. Thousands came to celebrate the birthday of MLK and the culmination, they believe, of his work as America's first black president would take the oath of office the following day.
The parade, through downtown Charleston, was as much about Barack Obama's inauguration as it was about the civil rights activist's 80th birthday.
