Berkeley Co. seeks grant to fund 8 deputies

Berkeley County will apply for a grant that could fund up to eight Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputy positions for community policing. During the June 13 meeting of council, members approved seeking the grant, which could be awarded by Sept. 1.
