On fire

The Carolina Fire 14U girls’ fast pitch softball team finished its fall season by taking the ASA Winter Blast Championship in Spartanburg. The Summerville-based team finished the tournament with a .404 batting average and a 66.4 percent on-base average. Since forming last August, the team has placed in four out of seven ASA and WFC events. Members of the team are (l to r, back) Head Coach Darryl Hill, Sofia Fatima Hassen, Danielle Hood, Anne Ansley Ridgill, Ally Kiersten Knight, Lauren Sanders, Lacey Eller, Assistant Coach Ben Owens, (middle) Olivia Hill, Caitlyn Stall, Crystal Owens, Valerie Frank, Kaitlyn Dallas Singleton, (front) Hallee Lizzi and Peggylou Rochay.
