SCC hosts Cuthbert Cup

Summerville Country Club hosted a strong field of golfers Oct. 28 for the 2012 Cuthbert Cup.
A total of 116 golfers came out to support the two-man captain's choice tournament held in memory of Mr. June and Mr. Tommy Cuthbert with net proceeds benefitting the Dorchester Free School Board's Tommy Cuthbert Scholarship Fund.
Winners of the "Tommy Cuthbert" Low Gross Division were:  The team of Tad Brown and George Frye came in with a score of 57 to win the Tommy Cuthbert Low Gross Division. David Connor and Douglas Hetzel finished at 59 to claim runner-up honors for the division. Trailing were the teams of Bob Merryman and Ryan Castle  (61),  Jess Cuthbert and Jed McCluen  (61), Will Jeter and Ben Jeter  (62), Marc Horne and Chris Terry  (62), Bray Blanton and Seth Davis  (62) and Tony Daniel and Jimmy Hyams  (63).
