Kathryn Elizabeth Kimbrell of Charleston, S.C. and Beau Bryant Evans of Mount Pleasant, S.C. were married on March 5, 2011 in a 4 p.m. ceremony at Summerall Chapel, The Citadel, in Charleston.
The Rev. Conrad “Buster” Brown officiated and the Rev. Mike Mitchener read scripture.
The bride is the daughter of Tony and Karen Kimbrell, formerly of Summerville, now living in Burlington, N.C.
She was given in marriage by her father.
The groom is the son of Ms. Donna Evans of Mt. Pleasant and the late Herbert E. Evans.
The bride wore a strapless couture gown of deluxe duiponi silk with a very dropped waist, accented with small rosettes. The gown featured a fitted bodice with rousing and covered buttons down the back falling into the chapel train. A cathedral length veil completed the gown.
The bride carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, Ranunculas, Freesia, and Lisianthus with green Hypericum berries and succulents. The bouquet featured a cameo worn by her late grandmother, Polly Moran.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Jennifer Kimbrell Patterson of Sanford, North Carolina. Bridesmaids were Julia Gunter of Dallas,Texas and Sara Alexander of Summerville. The bridesmaids carried green nosegay bouquets accented with magnolia leaves, succulents, and hypericum berries.
The groom’s best man was Dr. Martin Trojanowski of Charleston. Groomsmen were Benjamin Cantu of Denver, Colorado; the bride’s brother Christopher Kimbrell and Joshua Murphy, both of Charleston.
The bride is the granddaughter of Matthew C. Moran and Effie Kimbrell of Covington, Georgia.
The groom is the grandson of Ms. Eloise Earl of Mount Pleasant and Ms. Thelma Evans of Charleston.
Greeters were Ayako Takakusagi of Tokyo, Japan and Carly Judd of Burlington, NC.
The bride has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Anderson University and is employed as a technical writer for CGI Federal.
The groom has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston and a Masters Degree in International Business from the Darla Moore School of Business, at The University of South Carolina. He is employed by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
Vocalists for the ceremony were Jennifer Kimbrell Patterson and Lauren Elliotte. They sang,”Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.
The reception was held at The Charleston Rifle Club with music provided by the Shem Creek Boogie Band.
The couple honeymooned in Paris, Barcelona, and Rome and will make their home in Charleston.
