Palmetto Custom Carts of Summerville is opening this month at 112 East 3rd North Street in Summerville. The sales and repair shop for golf carts will offer Club Car, one of the largest golf cart manufacturers in the nation.
Palmetto Custom Carts has another store location in downtown Charleston but Manager Eric Haas said Summerville’s growth made the location ideal for opening a second store.
Soon the showroom will be filled with new and refurbished golf carts ranging in price from $4,000 to $12,000. Low Speed Vehicles will also be for sale inside the shop.
“The great part about Summerville is there are so many areas you can go on a golf cart,” Haas said.
Charleston Cabinetry & Countertops now has a Summerville showroom at 622 Old Trolley Road, Suite 104 in addition to their Mt. Pleasant and Charleston locations.
The company specializes in cabinetry design and installation for both new builds and remodeled homes.
Sean Murphy, operations manager, said a big part of the company’s success stems from their excellent customer service and communication throughout the design process.
“We carry cabinets to suit many different types of budgets,” Murphy said. “So a big part of it is finding a cabinet package that is a good fit for the client as far as their budget and their needs.”
All of the cabinets are made from wood, no particle board. Murphy said the full extension and soft close are popular features found in the showroom at Charleston Cabinetry & Countertops.
The Gingerbread Trail is open in historic downtown Summerville. Local shops are showing displays made of edible materials, although not necessarily gingerbread, through December 31st. More than $400 in prize money is up for grabs in the competition in three categories: Professional, Adult and Youth.
Winning entries will have ribbons placed on them in time for Third Thursday on December 20th. The contest and trail are brought to the community through the Summerville shopkeepers and the Holiday Excitement Committee.
Locations are: Coastal Coffee Roasters; Lowcountry Olive Oil; FLY Modern Apparel; Maggie Rose Boutique; Everything Chic; People, Places & Quilts; Train Town Toy & Hobby Shop; The Hive Collective; Cotton Down South; JJS Bakery; Montreux Bar & Grill; and Antiques & Artisans In Town. Some have more than one display.
