Rachel Elizabeth Mackles of James Island and Charles Robert Davis, lll of James Island were married on Oct. 20, 2017 at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.
Her mother and father gave her away. Adria Jones officiated. The groom’s niece, Meredith Lilly, was flower girl. Charlie Schotland was the ring bearer.
A welcome dinner was given by the groom's mother on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Carolina Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Ginny Mackles of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and of Mr. Scott Mackles and Ms. Amy Ades of Chappaqua, New York. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Rhynold and Mrs. Eileen Schraufnagel and of Mr. Albert Mackles of Boca, FL, and the late Mrs. Mollie Mackles.
The groom is the son of Ms. Elizabeth Mueller Davis and the late Mr. Charles R. Davis, Jr. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jessie S. Mueller of Summerville, and the late Mr. H. Jim Mueller and of Mrs. Mary Ellen Davis of Sun City Center, FL, and the late Mrs. Charles R. Davis, Sr.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Horace Greeley High School and a 2009 graduate of Coastal Carolina University. She is co-founder and partner at Matchstick Social of Charleston.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Westminster Christian School and a graduate of Trident Technical College. He is employed by A & I Fire and Water Restoration in Charleston.
The couple will reside in James Island.
