Ensemble performs for commissioning

On March 2, the Ashley Ridge High School Jazz Band performed for the first time in the Charleston community for 500-plus people at the pre-ceremony breakfast for the USS Charleston commissioning event. In its first year and directed by Ben Pouncey, the band is comprised of 12 students. The band is hoping to expand as an ensemble next school year and has a goal to perform in other locations throughout the tri-county as a way to support the community through music.
