Summerville native qualifies for Olympic Trials

Jackson Seith qualified for the Olympic Trials on July 31 at the TYR International Swim Coaches Association Senior Championships in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Seith, who grew up in Summerville, is now a sophmore at Florida State University and is a member of the Seminoles Swim Team.

At the ISCA Senior Championships Seith qualified for the US Olympics Trials in the 100m Breaststroke after posting a time of 1:03.27.

Prior to joining the Seminoles Swim Team, Seith won the 100m breaststroke (1:03.92) and 200m breaststroke (2:24.04) at the 2018 South Carolina Swimming Long Course State Championships and was named a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in 2016 while attending Fort Dorchester High School.

The US Olympic Trials for swimming will be held from June 21st-28th, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska.
