Arrest made after undercover buys of meth and heroin


The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said several undercover drug purchases by narcotics detectives was a part of the of the investigation in the Texas community of St. George.

Law enforcement said the suspects involved are mother and son. The statement from Sgt. Rick Carson, at the DCSO said two suspects are involved. Carson said as of Thursday morning, Nov. 7, only one is custody.

It was on Oct. 6 deputies said the narcotics unit concluded an investigation regarding the distribution of heroin and methamphetamine, involving Robert Terrance Britt and his mother, Renee Britt of 239 Alonzo Road.

Investigators said over the course of the investigation they conducted several undercover purchases of methamphetamine and Heroin from the residence, totaling 24.5 grams of methamphetamine and 1.4 grams of heroin.

The work concluded with a search warrant being executed at the Alonzo Road home where detectives seized 8.8 grams of meth, 1.3 grams of cocaine base, 21.6 grams of heroin, two grams of an unknown white powder, 2.75 pounds of marijuana, and a pistol.

Robert Britt of St. George was taken into custody at the house. A second suspect, Renee Britt was not at the home at the time and she currently has an outstanding warrant for a charge of distribution of methamphetamine.

Robert Britt was arrested on charges that include three counts of distribution of methamphetamine one count of distribution of heroin and trafficking methamphetamine.
