Law enforcement with the Summerville Police Department and Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office visited neighborhoods throughout the town and county for annual National Night Out festivities on August 6.

National Night Out is a crime prevention tool for residents to get to know their local law enforcement officers and show support. In the Gahagan neighborhood, the annual event was hosted by the Gahagan Crime Watch volunteers.

National Night Out also occurred in Camelot Valley, White Gables, Quail Arbor, Doty Park, Ridgeville, Park Circle, Greenhurst, Summerville Place, Summer Park, and the Lakes of Summerville, among other areas.
