DCSO investigating after bullets strike house, car near Summerville

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of shots fired after agency officials said they discovered bullets struck a house and car early Tuesday morning on Embassy Drive.

Deputies responded to the call around 4:45 a.m. in the 300 block of the roadway, according to an agency press release.

Deputies said at the scene they located numerous shell casings and damage to the home and a car at the property. No one was home at the time of the incident, and there were injuries reported, the release said.

As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were still on scene investigating. Further details on the incident were not immediately available.
