Five Pinewood Preparatory 7th grade students were recognized for their achievement in the Duke TIP, which stands for Talent Identification Program, program for the 2018-2019 school year.
Sam Gross, Mackenzie Arendall, Rachel Holden, Keely Ryan, and Rori Mims were recognized by the non-profit educational foundation.
Seventh grade students who score in the 95th percentile in standardized tests are given the opportunity to participate in the Duke TIP program. These students are then given the opportunity to take the ACT and SAT.
Rori Mims, Keely Ryan and Rachel Holden were named Duke TIP State Scholars by scoring a 550 or higher in Critical Reading and Math. Mackenzie Arendall and Sam Gross received recognition for high scores in Critical Reading and Math.
