To generate funds to help build safe and affordable homes in Dorchester County, Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is hosting its 2024 Lowcountry Blast and Boil Friday, April 12.

The clay shooting competition is at Partridge Creek Gun Club at 1487 US 78 in Ridge-ville. Participants can anticipate a day filled with friendly competition, camaraderie and fun, all in support of Dorchester Habitat’s mission.

Registration for the tournament begins at 8 a.m. and includes welcome swag bags, lunch, top shooter prizes, special custom auction items, and more.

“This annual event is an opportunity for our community to come together in support of Dorchester Habitat’s mission that truly changes lives,” said Jaye Jones Elliott, president and CEO of Dorchester Habitat for Humanity. “Through the funds raised, we aim to continue providing quality, safe and affordable homes in Dorchester County. The community’s participation in this event means the world to us and helps fuel our mission.”

The celebration continues from 6-10 p.m. with the Lowcountry Boil at Ashley River Park Pavilion. Attendees will enjoy live music from The Vistas, dancing, raffles, and live and silent auctions.
