Salsa dancers, mariachi performers and a host of artists were joined by community members and corporate sponsors to spotlight Hispanic Heritage Month during last week's Oct. 20 Third Thursday extravaganza in Historic Downtown Summerville. Columbia-based Palmetto Luna and The SC Commission for Minority Affairs joined forces with Public Works Art Center's Jana Riley in organizing a free public showcase. Among the artists on hand was Columbia (South America) native Diana Farfán who traveled from Greenville to present creations from her portfolio.
