Extending Branches is a community event set to take place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Seacoast Church Summerville, 301 E. 5th N. St. in Summerville.
Organized in collaboration with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement agencies, various organizations and churches, the community is joining hands to provide essential services to the displaced and unsheltered population.
The event will offer guidance and resources to those in need, including assistance with health, housing, food, COVID-19 vaccines and pet support.
Bagged/boxed food items and toiletry bags will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
