Summerville is getting a new bowling alley.

Stars and Strikes of Georgia announced it will open in November at 4570 Ladson Road, the site of the former Kmart.

The facility will include 24 bowling lanes, eight of which are VIP lanes in the signature Main St Lounge, a 7,300-square-foot arcade and prize store, a multi-story laser tag arena, bumper cars, the 7/10 Grille restaurant and a large full-service bar surrounded by big screen TVs for sports viewing.

There will also be private party rooms, including a corporate event room that can seat up to 150 people and that will be outfitted with a full private bar, according to a press release.

"Summerville's large population of close-knit families makes it an ideal location for us," said Chris Albano, managing partner and co-founder of Stars and Strikes. "With these families in mind, we are excited to bring a quality brand of family-focused entertainment to the Summerville area that guests of any age can enjoy."

In addition, the Summerville location will include an escape room, a game where participants have to solve puzzles and figure out clues while being timed in order to escape, the press release said.
