Authorities announce 10 people charged as part of crackdown on Charleston-area drug trade: A sweeping investigation into drug and gun crime in the Charleston area has resulted in 10 people facing a litany of narcotics-related charges. Dorchester County boat manufacturer Freeman Boatworks heading to the White House: Freeman Boatworks, a Summerville-based manufacturer of performance fishing catamarans, will represent South Carolina in the third annual Made in America Showcase at the White House on Monday.Businesses from each of the 50 states have been invited to display their products made and produced in the United States. New office and retail center coming to Nexton's Parkway District: Nexton announced today the groundbreaking of CoOp@Nexton, the first high-profile commercial parcel in Nexton’s Parkway District.The new office and retail center will include several commercial businesses, a mid-rise multifamily community and a Refuel gas station and market, according to a news release.
