Law enforcement with the Summerville Police Department and Dorchester County Sheriff's Office plan to visit neighborhoods throughout the town and county for annual National Night Out festivities on Tuesday.

National Night Out is a crime prevention tool for residents to get to know their local law enforcement officers and show support. Many neighborhoods' Crime Watch organizations host the events and also include area fire departments and EMS.
