Remember these important fire safety tips:

Fire can happen anywhere. When you visit a store or restaurant, take note of emergency exits close to you.

If a fire alarm sounds, leave the store or restaurant. Use emergency exits if you can’t reach the main exit. Find a safe place to stand in the parking lot or go to your vehicle. Look out for moving vehicles and fire trucks that will be responding to the store or restaurant.

Your place of work should have an emergency evacuation plan. The emergency evacuation plan should include directions on where to go and what to do in case of a fire, tornado watch, or other type of emergency.
