For the second consecutive summer, the City of North Charleston has organized a fundraiser for all of its teams that have advanced to a Dixie Baseball World Series.
To help pay for the teams’ trips to compete in the national championship tournaments, the city’s recreation department will host Lunch in the Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. July 25 at Park Circle.
The benefit will feature meals prepared by renowned cook Jamie Westendorff available for purchase for $10. Meals will include baked chicken or barbecue pork, macaroni and cheese, green beans, a roll and a beverage.
Tickets are being presold and will also be available during the event. Meals will be available for delivery in a limited area. For further information, call 843-745-1028.
