Scialampo selected for United World Games

Ashley Ridge sophomore Joseph Scialampo has been invited to participate in the 2020 United World Games.

Joseph Scialampo has been chosen to represent the USA overseas.

The Ashley Ridge sophomore, who is a member of the Swamp Foxes’ JV Boys Basketball Team, has been selected by STUDENTathleteWorld to represent the United States during the 2020 United World Games, an international athletic competition to be held in Germany, Italy and Austria in June and July.

The United World Games is marketed as the largest youth sports tournament in Europe (10,000 Athletes, 40 Countries, 5 Continents, 800 teams, 15 Sports). Scialampo’s trip will include not only the international competition but also an opportunity to interact with athletes and cultures from all around the world. It will take him on a journey of personal growth and leadership development through international travel and athletics.

Student-athletes are selected from a National pool based on athletics, leadership ability, and character. Each student chosen goes through months of evaluation before they are even notified of the possibility to be selected.
