Woods brings home hardware

Equestrian Arden Woods has earned a lot of hardware this spring.

The Northwood Academy junior earned multiple awards at both a Progressive Show Jumping horse show in Camden April 12 and a Progressive Show Jumping horse show in Aiken Mother’s Day Weekend. Equestrians from multiple states participated in both events.

In Camden, she topped 15 other competitors to claim the Reserved Champion honor for her division. Woods placed first for long stirrup equitation over fences and second for long stirrup mini medal over fences.

In Aiken, she again won her division. There, she placed first for long stirrup equitation over fences and second for long stirrup mini medal flat over fences and long stirrup hunter under saddle.

Woods has been an equestrian for four years. Her coaches are Connie Lena and Chad Crosby.

Woods is also a junior marshal at Northwood Academy.
